Damson plums are small sour plums with thick, dark blue, bloomy skins often found in old orchards and prized for making jellies and jams.
Our jelly is tangy, slightly tart with a strong plum flavour. Delicious on scones or toast. I love to use the jelly on a platter with sharp goats cheese and cured meats.
Warm it up and use to glaze a plum tart adding that extra depth of flavour.
